The Horizon Talons Replacement Pods are the 3mL top-fill cartridges for the HorizonTech Talons pod system, sold here as a two-pack. Each pod carries an integrated mesh coil wicked with wood-pulp blended cotton, seats on the device (retailers list a magnetic connection), and fills from the top through a port with a spring-loaded pressure-relief valve that vents the tank as you fill and reduces leaking on a refill. A leak-resistant base and a clear body (retailers list PCTG) with a rounded black mouthpiece round out the design.
Three resistances are offered in this listing. The 0.2Ω SS pod uses a stainless-steel mesh coil: the Talons 3 recognizes the coil material and runs it in temperature-control mode, rated best at 500°F. The 0.2Ω pod is the Kanthal version of the same coil, run in wattage mode at a best setting of 40W. The 0.4Ω mesh pod runs in wattage mode at a best setting of 30W. HorizonTech’s chart places the two 0.2Ω pods at its RDL end and runs through 0.4Ω toward MTL at 1.0Ω. HorizonTech’s coil chart also lists 0.6Ω, 0.8Ω and 1.0Ω options in the same 3mL cartridge for restricted and mouth-to-lung draws.
Compatibility follows the device’s power. Retailers list both 0.2Ω pods for the Talons 3 only, the kit that reads coil material and delivers 40W, and the 0.4Ω pod for the Talons 3 and the Talons II; HorizonTech’s own coil charts show the same split (0.2Ω appears on the Talons 3 chart only, 0.4Ω on both). The 3mL cartridge shares its footprint and coil ratings with the 2mL Talons pod but stands taller with a domed mouthpiece and a larger reservoir; the box reads TOP FILL CARTRIDGE, 2PCS, 3ML. Two pods per pack, device not included.

0.4Ω 3mL: HorizonTech rates it best at 30W. Wattage mode, third along HorizonTech’s RDL to MTL chart. The one pod here also charted for the Talons II.
