Description
The Nitecore UI2 is a compact dual-slot USB-C charger built for the rechargeable lithium-ion cells that power vape mods, flashlights, and other high-drain gear. Its two independent bays let you charge two batteries at once, each managed on its own so you can top off a pair of mismatched cells without waiting on the slower one. A single USB-C input means you can power it from a wall adapter, a laptop, a power bank, or even a solar panel, making it just as at home on the counter as it is in a travel bag.
Under the hood, the UI2 runs an intelligent charging circuit that automatically selects the right mode for the cell it detects. Batteries measuring below 2.9V are nursed back with a gentle low-current pre-charge before the charger steps up to its standard rate, while a constant-current/constant-voltage profile tops each cell to a precise 4.2V (plus or minus 1 percent) and tapers off to avoid overcharging. An onboard power indicator keeps you posted on charging status at a glance, no LCD required.
Weighing just 2.8 ounces and roughly the length of your palm, the UI2 handles an unusually wide range of cylindrical Li-ion and IMR sizes, from small 10340 and 14500 cells up to the larger 20700, 21700, and 26650 batteries used in modern devices. Built-in safeguards against reverse polarity, overcharging, and overheating round out a charger that is portable, versatile, and dependable for everyday use.
