The Nitecore UM2 is an intelligent USB dual-slot charger built to top off two batteries at once, with each of its two bays controlled independently so you can mix cell types, sizes, and charge levels without waiting on a shared circuit. A clear LCD screen keeps you informed at a glance, reporting real-time voltage, current, and charge time for both slots so you always know exactly where each cell stands.
Compatibility is the UM2’s strong suit. It handles Li-ion, IMR, and LiFePO4 cells alongside Ni-MH and Ni-Cd rechargeables, spanning everything from tiny 10440 cells up through popular vape and flashlight formats like 18650, 20700, and 21700, larger 26650/26700 cylinders, and household AA, AAA, AAAA, C, and D batteries. With Quick Charge 2.0 input available, the UM2 delivers up to 1,500mA per slot (3,000mA total) in QC mode, fast enough to bring a 3,500mAh cell to roughly 80% in about two hours.
Smart charging keeps things safe from start to finish. The UM2 automatically detects each battery and selects the appropriate mode, cycling through CC, CV, and negative delta-V control based on the cell’s chemistry and capacity, then tapering and stopping when the battery is full. Built-in protection against overcharging, short circuits, and reverse polarity rounds out a compact, reliable charger that’s equally at home on a workbench or a nightstand.
