Description
The Nitecore Ci4 Superb Charger is a four-slot intelligent charger built around a single USB-C input, part of Nitecore’s Ci series of USB-C “Superb” chargers. Because it draws all of its power over USB-C, the Ci4 runs from virtually any source you already carry, a wall adapter, laptop, power bank, or even a USB solar panel, making it as practical on the road as it is on the bench. When paired with a Quick Charge (QC) or Power Delivery (PD) source, it accepts up to 18W of input to drive fast, efficient charging across all four bays.
Each of the four slots operates independently, so you can mix chemistries and sizes and charge one to four cells at a time. In Fast Charge Mode a single cell tops up at up to 3,000mA, with the current shared as more bays are filled (1,500mA with two cells, 1,000mA with three, and 750mA with all four); a gentler Standard Mode is also available. The Ci4 automatically detects each battery, selects the correct voltage, and switches between three charging modes (CC, CV, and -dV/dt) based on cell type and capacity. It can also revive over-discharged Li-ion cells protected by a circuit that would otherwise read as dead.
Broadly compatible, the Ci4 handles Li-ion and IMR cells from 10440 all the way up to 26700, covering popular sizes like 14500, 16340 (RCR123), 18650, 20700, and 21700, plus Ni-MH and Ni-Cd rechargeables in AA, AAA, AAAA, C, and D. Per-slot LED indicators report charging status at a glance, and built-in reverse-polarity and short-circuit protection keep the process safe from start to finish.
